One of the overall themes that the Galactic Council has been speaking of lately that I find very interesting and beneficial is the concept of Karmic Debt, which is, in brief summary, anything that benefits one at a high cost to another.

Quote “Karmic Balance is the process of being in a place of a win for you and a win for them. That is the philosophy of Ho’oponopono. It is of great value to understand the importance of making sure the other wins as you win. What is it that you can do for others that benefits them and also benefits yourself? It works both ways. If you try to do something for yourself that harms another, that is depleting to your energy. But it works the other way as well, if you try to do something for another that harms you, that also depletes your energy (and theirs as well). Now we are speaking of those that would be martyrs, those that give so much to another that it becomes a cost to themselves. They give up part of who they are, or they do not speak up for themselves, they do not tell the truth and say what it is that they really need because they want to satisfy or please another. That is depleting to energy as well. It is always necessary for there to be the balance. Benefit to you; benefit to the other because that is what keeps the harmony. This is another way that you can think of karma. If you are doing something that harms another, you are creating a karmic debt. If you are doing something that you are giving away so much that you are harming yourself, it creates a karmic debt as well. Each one of them creates a karmic debt which then must somehow be rebuilt, replaced.” Galactic Council

Karmic Debt is when we do something and our actions take from or harm another, creating an energetic debt to that person. This is most often an act of force or greed, by an individual or an organization. We see this frequently in a corporate setting where an organization benefits massively at the expense of individuals. It may also be an individual intentionally or inadvertently taking advantage of another.

Karmic Debt may also occur when we put ourselves at a deficient; when we do something that harms self, respond out of obligation not desire, or allow others to take advantage of us without speaking up.

The idea is to operate from a place of sovereignty or balance. Receiving from others in fair exchange with that we are giving, as well as giving in fair exchange with what we are receiving. On the surface this seems pretty simple and straightforward, but when you really think about it, how many times have you given too much and ended up feeling resentful or empty? Maybe you have acted from obligation, helped more than necessary, refused exchange or generally not taken care of self in the exchange, that is an energetic or karmic debt.

Once you start to anchor into this concept it becomes easier to make decisions about what you choose to do. It can also help to clarify why you are doing certain things. Are you operating from a place of obligation, expectation, deceit, or force of some sort? Or are you joyfully giving and receiving?

Quote “We are creating karma in what we choose day-by-day, moment-by-moment. Are you in balance in what you are doing, what you are giving and receiving? Are you giving at your own expense? Are you receiving at someone else’s expense? You will find as you let go of giving too much to others that you can let go of the underlying resentment that goes with that. If you are giving too much and not receiving, there is no balance. If you are receiving too much and you are harming another in that receiving, there is no balance.” Galactic Council

I have been paying attention to this over the past few weeks and have found it makes it easier to make balanced decisions. It helps to clarify what I do for others and why I am saying yes or no. It has even made it easier for me to receive on occasions when I may have defaulted to refusing.

I invite you to begin to pay attention to this concept and allow it to help guide you into a place of greater balance.

Quote “Humanity is moving towards that understanding that they are all one, this understanding is still in its infancy, easier to talk about than to actually live it, love from that place, and breathe it. But from that place of all one, it is inevitable that anything that you do for another, you do to yourself. Good or bad. Harming yourself, you harm them. Harming them, you harm yourself. Benefiting yourself can benefit them. Benefiting another, you benefit yourself. But it must be balanced. There must be a benefit for them and for you otherwise it is a harm to them and to you. That is what Karmic Debt and Karmic Balance is all about. Humanity is moving past the time that they must constantly create karmic debt, then repay it, however most upon the planet still have a lot to learn about this.” Galactic Council
