If you follow me in the Wisdom of the Galactic Council or Circle of Light, you have no doubt, heard me talk about 2021 being the year of the Sovereign Self. And you may have noticed many other channels referring to sovereignty as well.
But what exactly is sovereignty, and how do we achieve it? The sovereign self is the being that can create from within from its own strong source connection. It can be thought of as self-direction or self-sufficiency. That does not mean we are not still interdependent, absolutely we are. When we can stand in our sovereignty or in the centre of our experience on the planet, we are far less swayed by what is going on around us. We are not constantly looking out there for approval or for guidance about what is true or what is going on. When we can enter into a state of simply being centred, we are better able to create and manifest from our own sovereignty, rather than looking to someone or something outside of us to tell us what to do, or more importantly, how to feel.
One of the things we, as a society, have become very good at doing, is looking outside ourselves for satisfaction. That is part of the consumer society; to buy something and feel good for a minute. Depending upon the person and the purchase, the consumer satisfaction might be a little longer, but as long as we depend upon these ‘things’ to define how we feel, there will be a return to dissatisfaction. This consumption can also include entertainment. When we are fed (or consume) entertainment, rather than participating in our life, it becomes easy to be told how to feel, then what to think and even how to act. When we operate from our own sovereignty our responses genuinely originate from within rather than simply being a by-product of how others tell us to respond. It’s not that we don’t want to consume anything from outside of us because that is part of our interaction, rather we want to be sure we continue to think for ourselves and not become completely dependent upon another’s view to define our experience of the world.
Coming into our sovereignty is about being able to be present in the world, being able to consume some from external sources, but still being able to consciously choose what we consume and maintain an awareness of our response to it. As we move towards sovereignty, we gradually become aware of what is negatively feeding certain responses and we begin to make informed choices to avoid those triggers, or we learn to move through the trigger into a different response.
We are in a time of great change upon the planet, a time to become very aware of what we are creating, and what we wish to create. Do you like what you see around you? If so, then create more of it; if not, make a new choice to begin to create a new experience. As chaos shows up in your life, are you allowing it to define you? Or are you choosing to allow it to break up and fall away? This state of sovereignty is about us allowing that to crumble and not trying to rescue it; to look out into the world with awareness and allow things to fall apart so they can be rebuilt; to be aware of what you agree with and what you do not agree with, rather than simply doing what you are told; and to consciously connect to your sovereign self, notice if your experience is one that pleases you and choose something different if it is not.
Step into your own power. Walk your own path. That is sovereignty! Even though you may not know exactly what that path is, as you respond to your inner guidance moment by moment and day by day, you will figure it out. It is time to get back in touch with yourself and make your own choices, take back your power and walk the path that feels right for you.
The next level of sovereignty is to allow others to also walk their own path. We have seen a huge upswing recently of people trying to convince others that they must all think the same or someone is wrong. A very dangerous behaviour that has become (or remained) popular is to completely discount another’s opinion if it is in opposition to current popular opinion. I say this is dangerous as it can genuinely create danger for those who are considered dissenting. We have a history filled with the oppression of those who dared t think outside the box. And ironically they are often, in hindsight, those who contributed to a completely new world view. Therefore, it is also dangerous to our growth as a society, as new and radical ideas that provide for our growth as a species do not come from people who simply agree and comply. These new ideas come from the risk-takers who are prepared to put everything on the line to express an often unpopular opinion.
The sovereign self will be able to hear another’s opinion and respect it, even if not in agreement with it. Sovereignty also provides the space for us to think for ourselves and arrive at our own opinion, based upon our internal state, not a state that has been created by the consumption of that which lies outside of us. For example, a sovereign individual will not feel fear, simply because they are told to be afraid, they will take the time to go within and notice if the message of fear is true for them.
Each one of you is a divine spark that resides within a physical vessel. Many allow the vessel to be master and the spark to be the servant. It is time to reverse this and allow for the divine spark within to be the master, that is sovereignty! As you step into the centre of your own orbit and take back your power, expect it to look completely different for each one of you, which is perfect. It is okay to observe how others come into their sovereignty, but it is not your job to condemn others for doing it in their own way.
There are so many upon the planet that are now stepping into their own centre. They may not look like it yet, but they are awakening their spark and beginning to follow it. The more you do your own work, the more you come into your centre, into your sovereignty, the brighter your spark is and the more it ignites others. That is how this planet transforms!
And in this process, each of you will be able to anchor more light onto the planet, supporting the planet in her awakening. Then, in turn, as nature has the opportunity to heal herself and create more light, the humans upon the planet are impacted by the earth transforming. And so it continues back and forth, it is a beautiful cycle.
You may have noticed that things are somehow feeling different? There was a unique and potent energy activated during the Solstice and Conjunction in December, and it is creating the foundation for some significant planetary shifts to occur. But the earth also needs each one of you to connect to your divine spark and step into your sovereignty to create a whole new way of being. One that is truly positive and beneficial for everyone, not just for a few, one that operates from peace and joy, not from fear. It is time now to create your own future, and no longer wait for someone or something to create it for you!
