So what exactly does that mean? How do we live our lives on purpose? Want to explore that with me?
So many people are struggling these days to ‘find their purpose’. The more I work with this concept, the more I believe that our purpose is not a thing or event, but rather a way of being. Being in the flow of your life…being involved in your destiny…consciously creating what it is that you want to appear.
Living life on purpose is so much more than wanting a new car, or the perfect job. Of course, there is nothing wrong with either of these, but they alone can not create contentment over long periods of time. When we rely on buying something to make us feel better, the good feeling is very short lived. However, when there is a greater contentment within, then manifesting a new vehicle can be a delightful experience.
Over the next few weeks I will explore what this really means, and give you some ideas on how to apply it in your own life.
First word….THANKFUL…..the human race are such an impatient bunch. We want so much and we want it now. The other day I was on a short-haul flight which only had TV shows or pay-per-view movies, and I remember thinking briefly how annoying that was. Wait just a minute, it was only a very few years ago that television on airplanes was even introduced, and already I am disappointed that there is not a greater variety. How about being thankful for the fact I am able to fly, and that there is any television offered at all.
Most people, particularly in the western world have so much to be grateful for. We have homes, and beds, and pillows, and food and utilities, and jobs, and cars and entertainment, and so much more. Thank You; Thank You; Thank You.
What about being thankful for arms and legs, eyes, ears, fingers, toes, and brains. Not everyone is that fortunate either.
A neat thing happens when we take the time to be grateful – we get more of what we are grateful for. How many things can you find to be grateful for? I would love to see you post some answers right here.
Lets send great big waves of gratitude out into the universe.
